'Vow' pair to rewrite 'Mean Moms'

Silverstein KohnNew Line has drawn on "The Vow" scripting team of Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein to rewrite "Mean Moms." Project was placed in 2010 with Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Jill Messick creating for brand new Line. Shankman and Gibgot are creating through their New Line-based Offspring banner."Mean Moms" will bear some resemblance to Paramount's 2004 comedy "Mean Women," since both of them are modified from advice books for moms and dads composed by Rosalind Wiseman. Messick professional created "Mean Women" and introduced "Mean Moms" to Offspring.Kohn and Silverstein also teamed on other New Line projects: "He's Simply Not That Into You," "Valentine's" and "How you can Be Single."Just like "Mean Women," story will begin having a family moving to a different town. "Moms" will concentrate on a happily married mother of two who moves from small-town America towards the high-class and surrounding suburbs, where she faces the cutthroat realm of competitive raising a child.When New Line setup "Mean Moms," it drawn on the scripting team of Dara and Chad Creasey to evolve Wiseman's 2006 tome "Full Bee Moms and King Pin Fathers: Coping with the mother and father, Instructors, Coaches and Advisors Who Are Able To Make -- or Break -- Your Son Or Daughter's Future." Wiseman's 2002 book "Full Bees and Wannabees: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Men and also the New Facts of Girl World" offered because the foundation for Par's "Mean Women."Kohn and Silverstein are repped by CAA.
