Should they make Jurassic Park 4?

I really enjoyed both books and the first two movies. Obviously the
first movie was a classic and I got to watch it as a kid when it first
came out, which left a lasting impression on me. The second was okay
but the third one was really disappointing and it seemed to be moving
away from the original concept, including killing off a Rex which is
the icon of the franchise.

Another thing is, the original cast are getting on in age. Sam Neill,
who played Dr. Allan Grant, is about as old as Richard Attenborough
was when he played John Hammond in the first 2 films. Jeff Goldblum is
not any younger and Attenborough himself is now in poor health.

So if I look at it, a new Jurassic Park film may end up venturing way
off course in terms of the core of the story and the likely need for
new actors will severe it's connection to the original movies. You can
look at the Alien and Predator franchises as evidence of what happens
when a concept is over used and ends up becoming a flop.

I have read some disturbing reports that early ideas for a 4th film
may be based around Ingen's technology being used to create mutated
super-humans. That would be an absolute catastrophe if it went that
way.

I believe the franchise should be left as it is, lest they destroy it.
