Why do people think being atheist makes them smart, when in reality it is theists who are more advanced?

Fact: animals have no organized religion.
Fact: neither do atheists
Fact: being able to comprehend and understand the word of God is what
puts us above animals

So why do atheists take pride in refusing God, when it just makes them
comparable to animals?
